As the fourth season of the popular racing anime Initial D progresses, tensions start to rise even higher for protagonist Takumi Fujiwara. In Act. 4 The Two Pieces of Advice, Takumi faces off against a new opponent named Sakamoto, who seems to have the upper hand with his brand new machine. The episode kicks off with Sakamoto arriving at the Akina Speedstars' headquarters and challenging Takumi to a race, only to be turned down by Takumi's reluctant father Bunta.

Despite Bunta's orders to stay away from racing, Takumi decides to take on Sakamoto anyway. The two racers start off neck-and-neck, but it soon becomes clear that Sakamoto is a force to be reckoned with. Takumi struggles to keep up with his opponent, and it becomes evident that he will need to push his limits in order to win the race.

As the two racers make their way through the twisty mountain roads of Akina, Takumi realizes that he has a lot to learn from Sakamoto's driving style. He observes that Sakamoto is able to maintain a consistent speed through the corners, which allows him to come out of them with more momentum. Takumi also notes that Sakamoto is adept at using his brakes to control his speed, something that Takumi has always struggled with.

Taking these observations to heart, Takumi decides to put them into practice during the race. He puts on a masterclass in cornering, skillfully drifting through each turn with precision and control. He also learns how to use his brakes more effectively, allowing him to maintain his speed without losing control of his car. As Takumi gains ground on Sakamoto, the tension between the two racers mounts.

In addition to the exciting race action, Act. 4 The Two Pieces of Advice also delves into the inner workings of Takumi's mind. Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to glimpses of Takumi's thought process as he races against Sakamoto. As he struggles to keep up with his opponent, he reflects on the advice that his father has given him over the years, particularly the importance of finding his own driving style. He also thinks about the wisdom he has gained from his fellow racers, including his best friend Itsuki and his mentor Natsuki.

Ultimately, Takumi is able to come out on top in his race against Sakamoto, thanks to the skills and strategies he has learned along the way. As he crosses the finish line, he reflects on the two pieces of advice that have helped him to become the skilled driver he is today: finding his own style and learning from those around him.

Act. 4 The Two Pieces of Advice is an excellent episode that provides plenty of exciting racing action, as well as some valuable insights into Takumi's character. It is a must-watch for any fan of the Initial D franchise, and is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats as they root for Takumi to come out on top.
