Jackie Chan Adventures follows the adventure of Jackie Chan, an archaeologist and martial arts expert, as he travels the world to stop the evil forces that threaten to conquer the world. In season 2 episode 38, titled "I'll Be a Monkey's Puppet," Jackie and his team are in Japan, where they must face the Monkey King, who is back from the spirit world and wants to possess Jackie's body.

The episode opens with Jackie and Jade visiting the new Tokyo Museum of Ancient History, which houses the artifacts Jackie has discovered on his travels. Jackie is excited to finally have his work recognized, and Jade loves being a tourist. However, their happy day takes a dangerous turn when they discover that a group of Monkey ninjas has stolen a valuable jade monkey statue from the museum. The Monkey King, a powerful spirit who has been an enemy of Jackie and his family for generations, is behind the theft.

The Monkey King, who wants to regain his physical form, believes that the jade monkey statue is the key to his return. He has used his powers to make the Monkey ninjas his henchmen, and they are now after the other artifacts Jackie has collected. Jackie and Jade are joined by Tohru, Uncle, and Captain Black, who arrive in Tokyo to help them stop the Monkey King's plan.

As they investigate the case, Jackie and his team learn that the Monkey King is hiding in a nearby temple and has placed a curse on it. The curse makes anyone who enters the temple fall under the Monkey King's control, becoming his puppet. Jackie knows that he must enter the temple to stop the Monkey King, but he also worries that he might become a puppet himself.

With the help of Uncle's magic, Jackie and his team are able to enter the temple without being controlled. The team splits up to cover more ground, but soon, they begin disappearing one by one. Tohru, Uncle, and Captain Black all become puppets of the Monkey King, leaving Jackie and Jade alone to face their enemy.

The Monkey King, now in possession of the jade monkey statue, is able to transform into a giant monkey. He attacks Jackie and Jade, but Jackie is able to use his martial arts skills to avoid the attacks. He realizes that the Monkey King's power comes from the jade monkey statue and decides to destroy it to defeat the Monkey King.

However, destroying the jade monkey statue is easier said than done. The Monkey King has infused it with his magic, making it resistant to any physical attack. Jackie remembers that Uncle once taught him a spell that can disrupt magical energy, and he decides to try it on the jade monkey.

Jackie recites the spell, and the jade monkey begins to crack. The Monkey King, weakened by the destruction of the statue, reverts back into a spirit and retreats to the spirit world. The curse on the temple is lifted, and Tohru, Uncle, and Captain Black are freed from the Monkey King's control.

The episode ends with Jackie and Jade leaving Tokyo, having saved the city from the Monkey King's wrath. As they travel on a train, they discuss the adventures they have had and the ones that lie ahead. Jackie knows that the world is full of powerful ancient artifacts and dangerous adversaries, but he is ready to face them with his team by his side.

Overall, "I'll Be a Monkey's Puppet" is a thrilling episode that combines action, magic, and humor. The Monkey King is a formidable enemy, and seeing Jackie use his wits and skills to defeat him is truly satisfying. The episode also explores the dynamic between Jackie and his team, showing how they work together to overcome challenges. With its fast pacing, engaging plot, and likable characters, this episode is sure to be a favorite among fans of the show.
