Despite her cheerful demeanor, Ichimura Suzu is tormented by her classmates who constantly bully her. Her only solace is her cherished paper balloons, a skill taught to her by her grandfather. When she discovers that her beloved grandfather is hospitalized and in critical condition, Suzu turns to the Hell Correspondence website and summons the Hell Girl. But even as her tormentors are sent to Hell, Suzu begins to question the true cost of her actions. As she struggles with her guilt and the consequences of her decision, the line between victim and perpetrator becomes blurred and Suzu finds herself faced with a difficult choice.
