In the first episode of Kamisama Dolls, titled "A God Arrives," we are introduced to Kuga Kyouhei, a quiet and reserved young man who has left his small hometown to attend college in Tokyo. Despite his wish to leave his past behind, he soon finds that not all of his childhood memories can be so easily forgotten.
Kyouhei's past comes back to haunt him in the form of a mysterious girl named Utao. Utao is a member of the Kuga clan, a family that has the ability to control powerful and deadly dolls known as kakashi. Utao has brought with her a kakashi named Kukuri, which she uses to defend herself from the dangerous and psychotic Aki, Kyouhei's childhood friend and fellow member of the Kuga clan.
As Kyouhei struggles to come to terms with his past and his connection to the Kuga clan and their kakashi, he finds himself drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Aki. Aki is on the run from the authorities and has come to Tokyo to seek revenge on Kyouhei and the Kuga clan for reasons that have yet to be revealed.
The episode is filled with high-stakes action and intense drama as Kyouhei, Utao and Kukuri attempt to keep Aki at bay and prevent him from unleashing his own kakashi, a massive and terrifying beast named Senki. Along the way, we learn more about the relationships between the members of the Kuga clan, including Kyouhei's problematic relationship with his sister Hibino, who seems to be hiding her own secrets.
As the episode comes to a close, we are left with more questions than answers. What is the source of the conflict between Aki and the Kuga clan? What is the true nature of the kakashi? And what is the mysterious connection between Kyouhei and his past, the Kuga clan, and the kakashi that they control?
Overall, "A God Arrives" is a thrilling and suspenseful start to the Kamisama Dolls series. It sets the stage for a complex and emotionally charged story that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
