Kanamemo Season 1 Episode 1 Episode 1 - Solitude, For the First Time

A young girl named Kana Nakamachi is left orphaned after her grandmother passes away. She is forced to move to a new town and quickly finds work at a newspaper delivery company. She moves into a boarding house owned by Yume Kitaoka, where she is introduced to the other boarders who all work at different businesses in town. Kana struggles to adjust to her new life and overcome her solitary nature. She starts to form relationships with the other boarders, in particular, a girl named Saki who works at a nearby cafe. Kana also meets a mysterious woman who gives her a magical stone that allows her to communicate with cats. Kana's journey to find her place in her new home has only just begun.
