In Kids Baking Championship season 11 episode 5, titled "Biz Kids: Smashing Success," the remaining eight young bakers face a brand new challenge – creating a dessert that represents a successful business. The young bakers are divided into two teams of four, and each team must come up with a concept for their pastry shop, design a logo, and create a showstopping dessert that represents their business.
With only two hours on the clock, the bakers immediately set to work brainstorming ideas for their business and designing their logos. The judges, Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman, visit each team and offer their advice and encouragement. While some of the bakers struggle with coming up with a unique concept for their business, others dive right in and start working on their desserts.
The pressure is on as the bakers work diligently to prepare their desserts. They must incorporate unusual ingredients into their dishes, such as coconut cream, crushed cereal, and fresh herbs. The judges sample each dessert as it comes out of the oven, critiquing everything from the texture to the flavor profile.
As the clock ticks down, tensions run high as the bakers race to finish their desserts. Some run into unexpected setbacks, such as a collapsed cake or a broken sugar decoration. Others manage to pull off their desserts flawlessly, impressing the judges with their creativity and skill.
In the end, both teams present their desserts to the judges. The desserts are as varied as the businesses they represent, from a tropical island-themed pastry shop to a French patisserie specializing in macarons. The judges carefully evaluate each dessert, taking into consideration how well it represents the team's business concept.
After much deliberation, the judges announce the winning team and the baker who will be going home. It's an emotional moment as one young baker's journey comes to an end, while the others remain in the competition to continue pursuing their dreams of becoming the Kids Baking Champion.
