Late Nite Eats season 1 episode 2 takes viewers on a culinary journey to Montreal, Canada. Host, Jordan Andino, visits some of the city's top late-night eateries to sample their unique and delicious dishes.

The episode kicks off at La Banquise, a 24-hour diner known for its mouthwatering poutine. Poutine is a Canadian dish made with French fries, cheese curds, and gravy. La Banquise offers a variety of poutine options, including classic beef gravy and veggie options such as mushroom and onion gravy. Jordan tries the T-Rex, a poutine with ground beef, hot dogs, and bacon. The dish is a massive hit with both Jordan and the locals who frequent the diner.

Next up on the tour is Chez Claudette, another iconic late-night eatery in Montreal. Their specialty is the traditional Quebecois dish of steamed hot dogs, known as "steamies." Jordan tries the steamies with all the toppings and loves how the combination of the steamed hot dogs and fresh toppings create a perfect balance of flavors.

Jordan then heads to Deville Dinerbar to meet with chef Kevin Ramasawmy. Kevin shows Jordan how to make their signature dish, the "Mile End Classic," which is a Montreal-style smoked meat sandwich. The sandwich is made with juicy smoked meat, yellow mustard, pickles, and Swiss cheese, all served on rye bread. Jordan takes a bite and can't stop raving about how delicious it is.

The next stop on the tour is St.-Viateur Bagel, a 24-hour bagel shop that has been serving up fresh bagels since 1957. The shop only uses natural ingredients and still bakes their bagels in a wood-fired oven. Jordan tries their most popular bagel, the "all dressed," which is topped with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic, and onion. Jordan notes how the bagel has a denser texture and a unique flavor compared to the bagels he's had back home in the US.

Jordan heads to Moishes steakhouse next, one of the oldest restaurants in Montreal and a landmark of the city's Jewish community. Jordan meets with owner Larry McMillan to try their famous smoked meat sandwich. The sandwich is made with smoky, tender brisket that has been slow-cooked for hours, served on rye bread with mustard. Jordan notes that the richness of the meat and the tanginess of the mustard bring the dish together perfectly.

The final destination on the tour is the Grumman '78 food truck. The food truck has amassed a cult following in Montreal for their delicious and inventive tacos. Jordan tries their "Disco Duck" taco, which features duck confit, hoisin sauce, pickled vegetables, and crispy wonton strips. Jordan notes how the dish is a perfect blend of savory and sweet, with the duck confit adding a rich and tender texture to the taco.

Overall, Late Nite Eats season 1 episode 2 showcases the best of Montreal's late-night food scene. From poutine and steamies to bagels and smoked meat sandwiches, the episode provides a mouthwatering view of Montreal's unique and delicious cuisine.
