In season 1 episode 3 of Late Nite Eats, host Jordan Andino heads to the quirky and eclectic city of Portland to explore some of its most delicious and unique late-night eats.

First up, Jordan visits Pine State Biscuits to try their massive and mouthwatering Reggie Deluxe biscuit sandwich. The Reggie Deluxe is a biscuit filled with fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg, topped off with sausage gravy. Jordan meets with the owners and founding chefs, Kevin Atchley and Walt Alexander, to learn how they came up with the concept for Pine State Biscuits and what makes their food so special.

Next, Jordan heads to The Original, a historic diner that has been serving Portland since 1952. Jordan tries their famous Original Burger, featuring a juicy patty topped with melted American cheese, onions, lettuce, and special sauce. Jordan chats with The Original's general manager, Jeff England, to learn about the history of the diner and what sets their burger apart from the rest.

Jordan then visits Sizzle Pie, a punk rock pizza chain with a cult following. Jordan tries their specialty pizza, The Gold Ring, which features onions, mushrooms, truffle oil, and a generous helping of gold flakes. Jordan talks with Sizzle Pie's co-owners, Matt Jacobson and Mikey McKennedy, about the inspiration behind their unique pizza flavors and their love for the Portland community.

Finally, Jordan heads to Salt & Straw, a beloved local ice cream shop known for their imaginative flavors and creative collaborations. Jordan tries their famous Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons flavor and chats with co-founder Kim Malek about how she and her cousin Tyler came up with the concept for Salt & Straw and what makes their ice cream so special.

Throughout the episode, Jordan also explores some of Portland's unique and quirky neighborhoods and landmarks, including Powell's City of Books, the world's largest independent bookstore, and the iconic Portland sign. Jordan showcases the city's vibrant culture and culinary scene, highlighting the creative and innovative spirit that make Portland a hub for amazing late-night eats.
