To Find What I've Lost is the fifth episode of season one of the anime series Little Busters!. The episode revolves around the character Riki Naoe, as he tries to cope with the memories of his past and reclaim something he has lost.

The episode begins with Riki in his classroom, feeling down and lost in thought. He is approached by his friend Kyousuke Natsume, who asks him about his well-being. Kyousuke is the leader of the Little Busters, a group of friends who aim to experience as much of the high school life as possible. He invites Riki to play baseball with the group, but Riki declines, citing his lack of interest in sports.

Riki's thoughts eventually turn to his past. He recalls the death of his parents, which left him feeling vulnerable and alone. He also remembers a girl named Sasami, a childhood friend who had been with him during that difficult time. However, he soon realizes that he is unable to recall many details about Sasami, including her last name and face. This realization leaves him feeling distressed and anxious.

In an attempt to regain his lost memories, Riki visits the school library and searches for any records about Sasami. There, he meets a girl named Komari Kamikita, who offers to help him with his search. Komari is a fellow member of the Little Busters and is known for her gentle personality. She explains to Riki that she has been seeking a way to help people, and believes that this could be her chance.

Together, Riki and Komari start to piece together Sasami's identity. They discover that she had transferred to another school in the middle of the year, and that her surname had changed at that time. Riki also recalls a photo of Sasami that he had taken with his parents, leading him to believe that she might still have the picture in her possession.

Riki and Komari set out to locate Sasami and ask her if she still has the photo. They eventually find her at a playground, surrounded by a group of younger children. However, Sasami is initially hostile towards Riki, accusing him of having forgotten about her and only using her to fulfill his own desires. She eventually relents and agrees to look for the photo, but warns Riki that he might not like what he finds.

While waiting for Sasami, Riki reflects on his motivations for seeking out his childhood friend. He realizes that he has been feeling lost and disconnected lately, and that he hoped Sasami could provide him with a sense of familiarity and comfort. He also remembers a promise that he had made to her in the past, and decides to fulfill it by helping her in any way he can.

When Sasami returns, she presents Riki with a damaged and faded version of the photo he had been searching for. However, she also reveals a secret that she had been keeping for years. She tells Riki that his parents had not died in a car accident, as he had been told, but had instead committed suicide. She explains that their deaths had been a result of severe financial troubles and depression, and that she had been the one who had discovered their bodies.

Riki is stunned by this revelation, and struggles to come to terms with it. He thanks Sasami for her honesty and promises to keep her secret safe, but also admits that he is not sure how to feel about the new information. Sasami replies that it is up to him to decide how to view his past, and that the only important thing is to keep moving forward.

The episode ends with Riki and Komari walking home together, as Riki contemplates the new knowledge he has gained. He realizes that he still has a lot to learn about himself and his past, but that he is determined to face it head-on and find a way to move forward.
