Ep 20. Centennial

Laura and Mary return home from a summer of visiting their grandparents to celebrate Walnut Grove's centennial. The town prepares for the centennial celebration with a parade, a dance, and a special play written by teacher Miss Beadle. Reverend Alden worries about the morality of the play and tries to persuade Miss Beadle to change some parts of it. Meanwhile, Charles and Caroline are concerned about their financial situation and Charles takes extra jobs to make ends meet. Mary struggles to readjust to school and has trouble keeping up with her studies. The Ingalls family and the other townspeople come together for the centennial celebration, but a tragedy threatens to ruin the entire event.
