Ep 1. Rocket City Revival

Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 1 episode 1, Rocket City Revival, introduces us to three successful African-American couples who have been lifelong friends, and now business partners. Melody and Martell Holt, Marsau and LaTisha Scott, and Maurice and Kimmi Scott are all seeking to revitalize their beloved hometown of Huntsville, Alabama with a brand new real estate project.

The episode starts with the couples excitedly discussing their new venture, a housing development called "The Comeback Group". The goal is to revitalize neglected properties throughout Huntsville, making them affordable and accessible for everyone in the community. But with the business, comes some personal issues that will have to be sorted out.

Melody is a successful entrepreneur with a business that has taken off. Her husband Martell unfortunately has been left behind after he quit his job to assist Melody. While Melody seems to be soaring, Martell feels left behind. The tension begins to have an effect on their marriage and other couples are beginning to take notice.

Marsau and LaTisha are more traditional than the others, with Marsau being the leader of the group. They own a very successful construction company and have been married for 14 years, with a baby on the way. But their professional success hasn't come without personal cost. They lament missing important moments with their three kids because of their busy schedule.

Finally, we meet Maurice (Marsau's brother) and Kimmi, who came back to Huntsville after living away for a while. Maurice, LaTisha and Marsau grew up together, but there's some tension between Marsau and Maurice because Marsau believes Maurice is still living in LaLa land and has not been responsible enough towards his family affairs. Kimmi had a child 10 years ago but never told Maurice she was pregnant. He only found out the child was his seven years later.

Aside from their personal lives, the couples are also leaders within the African-American community, and they want to use their success to help fellow Huntsville residents who have been left behind. They're all eager to make a difference in their hometown by not only revitalizing properties, but building opportunities for those who need it.

But while they're eager to help, they're also facing tough competitors who don't have the community's best interests at heart. In particular, a developer named Jaylen Akins who is determined to beat them at their own game.

Rocket City Revival sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting season of Love & Marriage: Huntsville as we watch the three couples navigate the challenges of working together to bring their dreams to life.
