Mansfield Park is a television mini-series adapted from the novel of the same name written by Jane Austen. The show features a 10-year-old Fanny who is sent by her parents to live with her Aunt and Uncle at Mansfield Park to escape poverty. Fanny moves from poverty to affluence but must learn to cope with being treated as a poor relation by her relatives. She also discovers the neighbors and observes their antics. Coping with a different culture and new people is a challenge.

This adaptation shows the cultural life changes between poverty and affluence for a young girl.
