Ep 3. Making Friends and Influencing People

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a popular sci-fi action TV series based on the Marvel Comics universe. Following the aftermath of the first season, the second season picks up with the agency rebuilding itself following the Hydra reveal. In episode 3, entitled "Making Friends and Influencing People," Skye, Coulson, and May race against time to find a way to save Simmons from Hydra's influence.

The episode begins with Skye and Coulson reviewing footage of Simmons' interactions with Hydra. They have discovered that Hydra has infiltrated Simmons' organization and she has become sympathetic to their cause. Meanwhile, Simmons is being interrogated by her Hydra plant, Bobbi Morse, who is trying to extract information about S.H.I.E.L.D.

To save Simmons, Coulson plans a dangerous mission to infiltrate Hydra. He assigns Skye to work with Morse, who has successfully become a Hydra agent, to help her gain access to the chemical compound that is causing Simmons' loyalty to Hydra. Coulson also sends May to track down the source of the compound.

As Skye and Morse work together, Skye begins to suspect that Morse may have an ulterior motive. May, on the other hand, tracks down the chemical compound to a facility in Malta. She breaks in and discovers that the compound is being made from the blood of a powered person. When May reports back to Coulson, he realizes that Hydra is using powered people as lab rats to make the compound.

Meanwhile, Simmons continues to struggle with her loyalty to Hydra. When one of her coworkers is killed by Morse, Simmons realizes the danger she is in and begins to question her allegiance.

After some setbacks, Skye and Morse manage to acquire the compound and bring it back to Coulson. They discover that the blood was collected from a member of the Inhumans, alien beings with superhuman abilities. Coulson decides to track down one of these Inhumans in the hope of finding a cure for Simmons.

The episode ends with Simmons reaching out to Fitz for help and Coulson opening a file called "T.A.H.I.T.I. Protocol."

In conclusion, "Making Friends and Influencing People" is an action-packed episode that keeps the audience at the edge of their seats. It sets up several plotlines that come to fruition in later episodes and offers insight into the characters' personalities and motivations. Fans of the series will not be disappointed.
