Ep 11. Brand New Day

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with its seventh and final season. The eleventh episode, titled "Brand New Day," sees the team facing another existential threat as they race against time to save the world from destruction.

As the season has progressed, the S.H.I.E.L.D. team found themselves jumping through different time periods in hopes of preventing a catastrophic event. In this episode, they find themselves in the 80s, where they encounter a new threat. With the Zephyr badly damaged, and their enemies closing in, they have to find a way to complete their mission and get out alive.

The episode opens with the team scrambling to fix the Zephyr, which has been damaged in a fight with the Chronicoms. They are stuck in the 80s, a time when they can't use their technology without raising suspicion. As they try to come up with a plan, they realize that the Chronicoms have already infiltrated several key positions, including the base where they are currently holed up.

The team splits up to take on different missions. Daisy and Sousa go undercover to stop a Chronicom from stealing a piece of technology that will give them a critical advantage. Meanwhile, Coulson and May go after the Chronicom leader, who is holed up in an abandoned factory.

As they move through the factory, Coulson and May realize that the Chronicoms have set a trap for them. They are ambushed by a group of hunters, and a fight breaks out. Coulson, however, is not his usual self. He seems to be struggling to keep his thoughts and emotions focused, which causes May to worry about his well-being.

Elsewhere, Daisy and Sousa manage to infiltrate the base and find the Chronicom they are looking for. However, they realize too late that they have fallen into a trap. They are attacked by a group of hunters, leaving them outnumbered and outgunned.

Back in the factory, Coulson begins to malfunction in a way that puts May in danger. She is forced to make a tough call to try and save him, but it comes at a cost.

As the team regroups, they realize that the Chronicoms have been one step ahead of them the whole time. They are in a race against time to stop them from completing their plan and saving the world. But with the Zephyr in shambles, the hunters closing in, and Coulson's condition worsening, they face an uphill battle.

"Brand New Day" is a tense and action-packed episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It takes the S.H.I.E.L.D. team to new heights, both in terms of the stakes involved and the emotional journey of its characters. With only a few episodes left in the series, the episode sets up what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the show's seven-season run.
