As the crew of PT-73 continue their mission to disrupt Japanese operations in the Pacific during World War II, they suddenly find themselves in need of a new boat. Enter the H.M.S. 73, a British vessel that has been damaged and left for dead by enemy fire. McHale and his team see an opportunity to salvage the ship and put her back into action, but it won't be easy.
First, they'll have to navigate the treacherous waters of the Japanese-held island where the H.M.S. 73 was stranded. They must avoid enemy fire and tricky currents while keeping their own boat afloat. Once they reach the H.M.S. 73, they discover that it's not just a simple fix-up job. The ship has major damage to its engines and other critical systems, and many of its crew are injured or missing.
Despite these hurdles, McHale and his team are determined to get the H.M.S. 73 back in the fight. They use their skills and cunning to make much-needed repairs and to rescue the injured sailors. But just when they think they've got everything under control, the Japanese show up.
Now, the crew of PT-73 must defend the H.M.S. 73 against enemy attacks while it's still in a weakened state. They improvise weapons and defenses, using everything from paint buckets to tropical fruit as ammunition. They even disguise the H.M.S. 73 to make it look like a Japanese ship in order to trick the enemy.
In the end, McHale and his team succeed in their mission to save the H.M.S. 73 and put her back into service. They prove once again that they can survive even the toughest challenges and come out on top.
