Ep 11. Eclipse; Hide And Sleuth

Gus, Bounce, Dragon, Squirt and Shimmer are playing in the meadow when the sky above Sunny Patch darkens. The sun isn't hiding behind a cloud, it's hiding behind the moon! Gus explains that the bugs are witnessing a very special event: a solar eclipse. The mid-day darkness turns Sunny Patch upside down. Confused Bees head to bed. Drowsy moths are dragged from their daytime snooze. Ned and Ted, fearing the end of the world, consider eating their emergency stores: Why let them go to waste? Bounce is also concerned. What if "Sunny" doesn't come out of his hiding place? It will be dark forever! While the rest of Bounce's siblings enjoy watching the show through their leaf pinhole boxes, Squirt does all he can to make sure that the sun returns to Sunny Patch. Of course, the eclipse ends as quickly as it began and Sunny once again shines bright over Sunny Patch. The confused nocturnal bugs return to sleep and a relieved Bounce longs for another eclipse;Squirt and Bounce are looking for bugs to play hide and seek with. Shelley and Stinky want to play, but Squirt and Bounce hesitate- they're too easy to find. Stinky can't hide his unmistakable odour and Shelley only has one hiding spot, inside his shell. When it's Squirt and Bounce's turn to hide the little bugs think they've got the very best hiding spot but Stinky, playing Stinky P. I. finds them instantly. Stinky shows them how Hide and Seek is a lot like sleuthing. Everybuggy has a different print, and by tracking their prints he could deduce (figure out) where they were hiding! Intrigued, the bugs join forces to track Shelley's snail slime trail. The trail is easy to follow at first but it suddenly stops, just ahead of some ominous chicken tracks! The three investigators snap in to high gear. They track the chicken to a snail shell doppelganger, to a huge footprint at the Taddy Puddle. Squirt uses his new sleuthing skills to deduce that it isn't really a footprint at all, i
