In the second season of the popular show Monsters Inside Me, episode seven takes viewers on a journey through the world of parasitic infections and the various ways in which they can affect the human body. Titled "Breeders," this episode showcases three individuals who have each been affected by a different type of parasite - all of which have unique and interesting stories to tell.

The first patient featured in "Breeders" is a young woman named Jenna, who discovers that she has contracted a rare parasitic infection after returning home from a trip to Southeast Asia. Jenna's symptoms include chronic fatigue, body aches, and a persistent fever - all of which are easily dismissed as signs of a mild flu. However, her condition quickly worsens, and it soon becomes clear that she is suffering from something far more serious.

As Jenna seeks medical treatment, doctors are initially puzzled by her symptoms and are unable to identify the root cause of her illness. However, after performing a series of tests and ruling out various possibilities, they eventually discover that she is infected with a type of parasitic worm that is typically found in the Asia-Pacific region. The worm, which is known to breed in the human body and lay eggs, quickly begins to multiply within Jenna's system, causing significant damage to her liver and other vital organs.

The second patient featured in "Breeders" is a middle-aged man named Tom, who is suffering from a severe case of Lyme disease. After being bitten by a tick while out hiking, Tom begins to experience a range of troubling symptoms, including joint pain, muscle weakness, and exhaustion. At first, his doctors prescribe him antibiotics and other treatments in an attempt to combat the infection, but none of these approaches seem to be working.

As Tom's condition continues to deteriorate, his doctors begin to suspect that something else may be going on beneath the surface. After performing a series of comprehensive tests, they discover that Tom's body is actually host to multiple types of parasites, each of which is contributing to his overall decline in health. With this new information in hand, they are able to put together a treatment plan that targets all of the different parasites and finally provides Tom with some relief from his symptoms.

The third and final patient featured in "Breeders" is a young girl named Marissa, who is suffering from a rare parasitic infection that has caused her to develop a series of painful boils and abscesses all over her body. Marissa's symptoms began after she was bitten by an insect while playing outside, and over time they have become increasingly severe and difficult to manage.

As Marissa's condition worsens, her doctors try a variety of different treatments in an attempt to combat the infection, including antibiotics, steroids, and surgery. However, none of these approaches seem to be working, and Marissa continues to experience intense pain and discomfort on a daily basis.

In the end, the doctors are able to identify the specific type of parasite that is causing Marissa's symptoms and develop a targeted treatment plan that finally provides her with some relief. Through her experience, viewers gain a better understanding of the complex and often surprising ways in which parasitic infections can affect the human body.
