In season 17 episode 48 of Mysteries at the Museum, viewers will be taken on a journey through three historical mysteries. The first segment titled "Serial Mourner" delves into the chilling story of a woman named Gwendolyn Graham who worked in a Michigan nursing home, and killed five of her patients over the course of a year. The murder weapon? Insulin. Learn about the clues that led to her capture and conviction, and the bizarre way in which she mourned her victims.

The second segment, "Glacier Inferno," takes us to Juneau, Alaska in 1996 where a devastating fire tore through the historic downtown district. Despite the town's close proximity to glaciers and icy waters, the fire was so intense that it could be seen from miles away. Museum curator Don Wildman unravels the mystery of how the fire started, and the innovative methods firefighters used to put it out.

The final segment, "Desert Giants," transports viewers to the American southwest where, in the early 1900s, fossil hunter E.D. Cope discovered the remains of enormous prehistoric creatures. But his rival, O.C. Marsh, also sought to claim this discovery as his own, and the bitter feud between the two became known as the "Bone Wars." Wildman explores the surprising ways in which this rivalry led to an explosion of fossil discoveries, and also examines some of the enduring mysteries that still surround these ancient beasts.

As always, Mysteries at the Museum delivers a fascinating mix of true crime, science, history, and adventure. Viewers will be left with a newfound appreciation for the incredible stories behind these seemingly mundane objects and artifacts.
