Ep 1. Wheels Up

In the first episode of Odd Mom Out season 1, titled "Wheels Up", we meet Jill Weber, a mother of three young children and wife to wealthy investment banker Andy. Set in the exclusive Upper East Side of New York, we follow Jill's struggles as she tries to fit in with the other moms of her neighborhood.

Jill is the odd one out in a world full of wealthy and privileged moms who seem to have it all, including designer handbags, nannies, and personal trainers. The episode begins with Jill rushing to make it to a private plane with her family for a vacation. However, things start to go wrong when she realizes she's forgotten her daughter's passport and has to turn back home.

As Jill frantically tries to find the passport, we see glimpses of her bickering with her husband over their lifestyle choices. It's evident that Jill doesn't fit in with the wealthy moms and feels like an outsider in her own world. She confides in her sister-in-law, Brooke, who is the epitome of the perfect Upper East Sider and is always perfectly dressed and put together.

On the plane, we're introduced to some of Jill's neighbors, including Vanessa, a fitness guru, and her husband Lex, who is constantly checking his phone. We also meet Candace, who is desperate to fit in with the other moms and runs her own successful charity.

Jill's discomfort with her surroundings is apparent when she tries to make small talk with the other moms and fails miserably. However, things start to look up when she meets a fellow mother named Joey, who seems to be more down-to-earth than the other women. Joey's refreshing candor makes her instantly likable, and the two women bond over their motherhood struggles.

As the episode progresses, we see that Jill is always trying to keep up with the Joneses and is constantly comparing herself to the other moms. She wants to fit in, but at the same time, she's not willing to sacrifice her own values and beliefs for the sake of fitting in.

Overall, "Wheels Up" sets the tone for the rest of the season and introduces us to the world of the Upper East Side mom. We see how Jill is torn between her desire to fit in and her unwillingness to sacrifice her own sense of self. The episode ends with Jill's realization that it's okay to be different and that fitting in isn't always the most important thing.
