Ep 2. Fasting and Furious

In the second episode of season two of Odd Mom Out titled Fasting and Furious, Jill's sister-in-law, Brooke, is trying a new fad diet called "The Cleanse." This leads to hilariously disastrous consequences as Brooke becomes angry, irritable, and extremely unpleasant to be around. Meanwhile, Jill's husband, Andy, is having a midlife crisis and decides to go on a juice cleanse of his own in an effort to feel more youthful. However, when he realizes how much he misses solid food, he turns to his friend Lex for advice on how to break the fast without suffering the consequences.

As Jill tries to navigate her family's newfound obsession with fad diets, she also has to deal with a work crisis. Her boss, Vanessa, is up for a big promotion, but things take a turn when she accidentally sends a compromising video to the entire office. Jill, being the loyal friend that she is, tries to help Vanessa salvage her reputation and sneak her way back into the running for the promotion.

Throughout the episode, Jill continues to struggle with her own insecurities and feelings of inadequacy in comparison to the other moms in her social circle. She's still an outsider in many ways, but she's also starting to forge some real connections with the other moms and finding her place in this world.
