Ep 11. Scutt Mansion

Two paranormal investigators, Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman, head to Scutt Mansion in Joliet, Illinois, for the 11th episode of season 2 of their show, Paranormal Lockdown. The mansion, built in 1882, is said to be haunted by the ghosts of former residents, including the Scutt family themselves and their servants.

As they set up for their lockdown, Nick and Katrina learn that the mansion was a popular place for séances and spiritualist gatherings in the early 20th century, adding to its paranormal history. They begin their investigation in the basement, where they hope to discover evidence of a possible tunnel used for smuggling during the Prohibition era.

As they explore the basement, the investigators feel a sense of unease, with Katrina experiencing a pain in her head and Nick feeling a cold breeze. They detect strange noises with their equipment and try to communicate with any potential spirits. Moving on to the first floor of the mansion, they investigate the library, which served as a doctor's office in the past. Here, Katrina feels a tingling sensation on her neck and Nick picks up on unexplained energy levels.

Their investigation leads them to the second floor, where they explore the bedrooms once belonging to the Scutt family and their servants. They use a spirit box to attempt to communicate with any ghosts present, and Nick hears the name "Mary" come through. In another room, Katrina senses a strong male presence and feels uneasy about being in the room alone.

Moving on to the attic, Nick and Katrina encounter a strange smell and use a thermal imaging camera to try and detect any potential spirits. They begin to feel overwhelmed and uneasy, with Nick experiencing a headache and Katrina seeing strange shadows.

As they wrap up their investigation, Nick and Katrina review the evidence they gathered throughout the night, including EVPs, unusual readings on their equipment, and experiences of their own. They present their findings to the homeowner and discuss possible explanations for the paranormal activity they encountered.

Overall, the investigation at Scutt Mansion proves to be a challenging and eerie experience for Nick and Katrina, with plenty of unexplained phenomena and potential paranormal encounters.
