- October 23, 2021
In episode 13 of season 19 of Pawn Stars, titled "Hair Bands and Rock Legends," the team at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is back to their usual antics of wheeling and dealing with customers from all walks of life. This time around, they're focused on items related to the world of hair bands and rock 'n' roll.
The episode kicks off with a bang as a customer comes in hoping to sell a collection of autographed Michael Jackson memorabilia. Rick Harrison, the owner of the pawn shop, is immediately interested and begins carefully examining each item. The customer is hoping to get a hefty sum for the collection but Rick knows that the market can be tough for Michael Jackson items due to the controversies surrounding the late singer's personal life. Will they be able to come to an agreement and make a great deal?
Next up, a customer comes in with a rare Gibson Les Paul guitar that he claims was used by the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen during a tour in the 1980s. The team is skeptical at first but as they take a closer look at the guitar and do some research, they begin to believe that it could be the real deal. However, as with any big-ticket item, they'll need to be careful and do their due diligence before making an offer.
Later in the episode, a customer comes in with a collection of Kiss action figures, posters, and other memorabilia. Chumlee, one of the pawn shop's employees and resident pop culture expert, is thrilled to see the collection and begins geeking out over all of the different items. However, as with any collection, the value depends on the rarity of the items and the condition they're in. Will the customer be able to score a good deal for their Kiss collection?
Another customer comes in with a vintage Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar that he claims was played by the late blues legend during a concert in the 1980s. The team is once again skeptical but intrigued, and they begin to investigate the guitar's history to determine whether or not it's the real deal. Along the way, they also learn some fascinating tidbits about Stevie Ray Vaughan's life and career.
Finally, the episode wraps up with a customer coming in with a collection of vinyl records from the 1980s hair metal band, Poison. Rick is interested in the collection and begins to examine each record closely. As with any vinyl collection, the value depends on a variety of factors, ranging from the rarity of the records to the condition they're in. Will Rick be able to make a good offer for the Poison records and add them to his own personal collection?
Overall, "Hair Bands and Rock Legends" is a fun and nostalgic episode of Pawn Stars that will appeal to fans of '80s music and pop culture.
