In "Pawn Stars" season 6 episode 25 titled "Some Like It Not," viewers get to see the exciting happenings at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. This episode features an eclectic mix of items being brought in for appraisal, ranging from a vintage limited edition Harley-Davidson to a set of rare gold coins.
The episode opens with the appearance of a 1984 Harley-Davidson FLHS with very low mileage, presented by a salty old sailor. The bike catches the eye of Rick and Corey, who are both avid bikers and know their way around the motorcycle market. They are both excited by the potential value of this limited edition Harley and promise to do their homework to ensure they make a fair offer.
Next, a man brings in an extraordinary piece of history - an autographed photo of Abraham Lincoln, along with a handwritten note from him to Civil War General William Rosecrans. The note reads, "I have placed you at the head of the Army of the Cumberland. I have confidence in you. A. Lincoln." The man is hoping to sell the photo and note as a set, and Rick is at once intrigued by the historical significance of the item.
The next item is truly special - a group of eight 18th-century Spanish gold coins, known as Carlos III gold coins. Not only are they rare, but they have an interesting history dating back to when they were minted in Peru and shipped to Spain. Each coin is in pristine condition, and Rick sees great potential for the set.
As always, the guys at the shop are meticulous in their research, pouring over reference books and consulting with experts to verify the items' provenance and value. Meanwhile, the customers grapple with the difficult decision to sell their cherished possessions or hold on to them for sentimental reasons.
In addition to these three items, the episode also features some quirky and unusual objects, including a vintage Edison phonograph, a collection of old soda bottles, and even a life-sized Rocky Balboa statue. One of the show's highlights is when a man brings in a beautiful 1958 Gibson J-200 guitar, made famous by Elvis Presley and hailed as "the king of the flattop guitars." Rick and Corey are both blown away by its impeccable condition and recognize its value as a one-of-a-kind collector's item.
As usual, the banter between the guys is lively and entertaining, and there are plenty of laughs to be had as they haggle with customers and make deals. Whether you're a fan of antique collecting, history, or just love a good reality show, "Pawn Stars" season 6 episode 25 "Some Like It Not" is a must-watch.
