In season 9 episode 14 of Pawn Stars, titled "The Great Pawnbino," the crew at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas are presented with a unique mix of items that will test their expertise and bargaining skills.
First, a customer brings in a collection of rare birdhouses that have been passed down through their family for generations. With a variety of styles and ages, the Pawn Stars must determine their authenticity and value before making an offer. Will they see the potential in this unique collection or pass on the birdhouses?
Next, the shop receives a visit from a magician who hopes to sell his collection of antique magic tricks and props dating back to the 19th century. From a disappearing birdcage to a deck of cards used by Houdini himself, the team must decide if these items are truly magical enough to be worth purchasing.
Later, the Pawn Stars have a chance to buy a rare 1900s vintage slot machine, but first they need to determine if it still works and if they have the appropriate license to sell it. With a weighting system that hasn't been seen in over 100 years and intricate design, the team must decide if the machine is worth taking a gamble on.
Lastly, a customer brings in a 1968 handwritten note from baseball legend Babe Ruth to a sports memorabilia dealer who believes it's the real deal. The Pawn Stars must determine if the note is authentic, and if so, how much it is worth to collectors of baseball history.
Throughout the episode, the Pawn Stars work to make deals with these unusual items while also sharing insights into their expertise and the inner workings of their pawn shop. Will they be able to close the deals and make their customers happy, or will they have to pass on these unique opportunities? Find out in "The Great Pawnbino."
