Ep 20. Up on a Roof

Balki, Larry, Jennifer, and Mary Anne all decide to help the Foster House, a local children's shelter, by participating in a charity event, which involves living on top of a building for a week. The foursome joins several other participants on the rooftop, ranging from a doctor to a nun to a marriage counselor. Balki is excited to be a part of the event, but Larry is skeptical and only agrees to participate when Jennifer bribes him with a romantic night out.

As they settle in, they come across several challenges, including dealing with the various personalities on the roof, having to share limited bathroom facilities, dealing with the scorching sun during the day, and enduring a rainstorm that floods their makeshift shelter. Balki tries to remain positive throughout the entire experience and even starts making friends with their fellow participants, while Larry continues to whine and complain about every little issue.

However, things really start to heat up when they discover that one of the participants, an unhappily married couple who are using the event as a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, are considering jumping off the roof. Larry tries to convince the couple that jumping is not the answer, but his words seem to fall on deaf ears. Balki, on the other hand, takes a more lighthearted approach and attempts to make the couple laugh with his trademark catchphrase, "Don't be ridiculous!"

As tensions continue to rise, Jennifer and Mary Anne hatch a plan to make sure that the couple doesn't jump. They ask everyone on the roof to donate money to the Foster House in the couple's name, and then present them with a check for the full amount. The couple is touched by the gesture and decides to stay on the roof and work on their marriage.

As the week comes to a close, everyone on the roof is exhausted but proud of what they've accomplished. The Foster House has received a significant donation, the unhappily married couple has decided to give their relationship another chance, and Larry has even learned to appreciate the experience. Balki, of course, remains his usual cheerful self, already planning for next year's event and how he can make it even better.
