Ep 42. Rocking Kalos Defenses!
As Ash and his friends continue their journey through the Kalos region, they arrive at the Lumiose Gym where the leader, Clemont, challenges them to a battle. However, before the battle can commence, the group learns that the city's defense system, which is powered by a special rock called Prism Stone, has been stolen. Without the Prism Stone, Lumiose City is vulnerable to attack from enemies.
Determined to help, Ash and his friends team up with Clemont to track down the thieves and recover the Prism Stone. They follow a series of clues and eventually discover that the culprits are none other than the villainous Team Rocket.
A battle ensues as Ash and his friends fight to get the Prism Stone back. Pikachu and Froakie face off against Jessie's Wobbuffet and James' Inkay, while Clemont and Bonnie use their Pokemon to protect the ship that Team Rocket is using to transport the Prism Stone. With the help of their Pokemon, Ash and his friends are able to defeat Team Rocket and recover the Prism Stone.
The group returns the Prism Stone to the city's defense system, which is now fully operational once again. With the crisis averted, Clemont challenges Ash to their long-awaited Gym battle. In a heated match, Ash and Pikachu face off against Clemont and his Heliolisk. Despite a difficult battle, Ash and Pikachu emerge victorious, earning Ash his third Gym badge in the Kalos region.
The episode concludes with Ash and his friends bidding farewell to Clemont and continuing on their journey through the Kalos region. As always, their next adventure is just around the corner.
