Ep 12. The Evolution Solution
Ash, Misty, and Brock continue on their journey towards the Johto League Championships. As they walk along a narrow field path, they hear a strange noise coming from the nearby bushes. They quickly realize that it is a young girl named Sakura, who is looking for her missing Pokémon, Eevee. The group decides to help Sakura find Eevee, and they split up to cover more ground.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is also on the hunt for Eevee. They believe it to be a valuable Pokémon due to its ability to evolve into different types. Jessie, James, and Meowth plan to capture Eevee and sell it to the highest bidder.
As Ash and his friends search for Eevee, they come across a man named Mikey. Mikey is the younger brother of one of the leaders of the Eevee evolution clan. He explains to Ash and his friends the different ways Eevee can evolve, depending on the type of stone it is exposed to.
Mikey also reveals that his brother created a machine that can accelerate the evolution process of Eevee. However, the machine has not been tested yet, and no one knows what the side effects of the process might be.
At that moment, Team Rocket appears, and a battle ensues. Ash and his friends successfully fend off the villains, but not before Team Rocket snatches Eevee and takes it back to their secret hideout.
Determined to rescue Eevee, Ash, Misty, Brock, Sakura, and Mikey sneak into Team Rocket's hideout. They find Eevee hooked up to the evolution machine, and they quickly unplug it, rescuing the Pokémon just in time.
As they all run off to safety, the machine explodes, causing a surge of energy that causes Eevee to evolve into its final form. The group is amazed as they watch Eevee transform into one of three possible forms: Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon.
Ash, Misty, and Brock return Eevee to Sakura, and Mikey informs them that the machine was destroyed, putting an end to his brother's dangerous experiment.
The group continues on their journey, amazed at the power of evolution and the value of friendship.
