Ep 14. Make Room for Gloom!

Ash, Misty, and Brock come across a massive greenhouse owned by a man named Potter, who is renowned for his exceptional plant-growing abilities. While exploring the greenhouse, the three friends come across a group of mischievous Weepinbell and Bellsprout. They soon realize that these Pokemon have been systematically sabotaging Potter's plants, causing them to wither and die.

Potter is beside himself with grief as he watches his beloved plants perish and is unable to find the root cause of the problem. In an effort to help, Ash and his friends start investigating the greenhouse and soon come across a Gloom, who seems to be the cause of all the trouble. They soon discover that Gloom is afraid of the dark and forces all the other Pokemon to create a thick canopy over the greenhouse to block out the sun, causing the plants to die.

The group embarks on a mission to help Gloom conquer their fear of the dark, ultimately reasoning that Gloom's fear is not just limited to darkness but also to loneliness. The team helps Gloom make new friends and play games with them to help them ease into the dark. With this new found comfort in the dark, Gloom decides to let the sun shine in and allows the other Pokemon to help Potter grow his plants again.

In the meantime, Jessie and James from Team Rocket are also keen on sabotaging Potter's greenhouse as part of their nefarious plan to capture Pikachu. They don't succeed in doing so but manage to create quite a ruckus in the greenhouse, prompting Ash and his friends to band together and defeat them.

Ultimately, the group successfully manages to restore Potter's greenhouse to its prior glory, and Gloom learns to embrace the darkness, making new friends along the way. Ash, Misty, and Brock leave with a newfound appreciation for the power of friendship and the importance of conquering one's fears.
