Ep 1. Here's Ranma

In the first episode of Ranma 1/2, titled "Here's Ranma", we are introduced to our protagonist, Ranma Saotome. He is a skilled martial artist who has just returned from a long training trip with his father, Genma. The two of them arrive at the Tendo Dojo, where they are greeted by the Tendo family - Soun, his daughters Kasumi, Nabiki, and their youngest daughter, Akane.

Ranma and Akane are immediately introduced to each other and are informed by their parents that they are to be engaged. However, this news does not go over well with either of them, and they immediately begin to argue. Ranma has no interest in marrying someone he's just met, especially since he's never even seen a picture of her before. Akane is angry at the fact that she is being married off without her consent.

As the two continue to bicker, they are suddenly interrupted by a group of boys from a rival school who have come to fight Ranma. Ranma, being a skilled martial artist, easily takes them on and defeats them. It is at this point that we discover that Ranma has a secret - he has the ability to transform into a girl.

Later that evening, Akane walks in on Ranma while he is in his female form, and the two once again begin to argue. However, their argument is cut short when they are attacked by a giant panda - which is, in fact, Ranma's father in his cursed form. Ranma explains that he and his father fell into cursed springs during their training trip, and now they transform into their cursed forms whenever they come into contact with cold water. Hot water, on the other hand, will return them to their original forms.

The next day, Ranma and Akane are once again interrupted by the same group of boys, who challenge Ranma to a fight. This time, however, the boys have brought a machine that will spray cold water on Ranma, causing him to transform into a girl and lose the fight. Ranma is humiliated and runs off, but Akane follows him and convinces him that he shouldn't be ashamed of who he is.

The episode ends with Ranma and Akane returning to the Tendo Dojo, where they are greeted by their families. Despite their initial reluctance, the two of them seem to be getting along a bit better now, and it is clear that they will have many more adventures together in the future.

Overall, "Here's Ranma" is a fun and entertaining introduction to the series. We are introduced to the main characters and their unique quirks, and there's plenty of martial arts action to keep things interesting. The episode sets up the premise of the series well, and it's clear that there will be many more twists and turns to come.
