Ep 3. My First Familiar

Red Data Girl season 1 episode 3, titled "My First Familiar," follows the story of Izumiko as she struggles with her newfound powers and identities. The episode begins with the arrival of a new transfer student at her school, Miyuki Sagara. Miyuki is a talented and confident boy who quickly gains popularity among the students and becomes Izumiko's new roommate.

As Izumiko starts to spend more time with Miyuki, she realizes that he is not an ordinary human, but rather a shaman and the son of one of the most powerful families in Japan. Miyuki quickly takes an interest in Izumiko's powers and tries to help her understand and control them. He tells her that she needs to find a familiar, a supernatural being that will become her protector and guide.

Izumiko is hesitant at first, but she knows that she needs to learn how to control her powers if she wants to avoid being controlled by them. Miyuki takes her to the top of a mountain where they conduct a ritual to summon a familiar. Izumiko follows the instructions and soon enough, a strange creature appears before her. It is a white fox with piercing blue eyes- her new familiar.

At first, Izumiko is scared and unsure of what to do, but her familiar quickly puts her at ease. It introduces itself as Hime-gami, a powerful spirit that has been watching over Izumiko for a long time. Hime-gami tells Izumiko that she is the vessel for its power and that they will work together to protect the world from evil spirits.

As Izumiko begins to learn more about Hime-gami and her powers, she realizes that there is much more to her relationship with Miyuki. She starts to feel drawn to him and begins to understand that they are connected in ways that she never imagined. Miyuki too begins to realize his own feelings for Izumiko, but he knows that there are many obstacles in their way.

Meanwhile, at the school, a new teacher named Takayanagi arrives. He is a stern and serious man, and all the students seem to be afraid of him. He takes an interest in Izumiko and starts to investigate her powers. It becomes clear that Takayanagi has his own agenda, and he is determined to use Izumiko's powers to further his own goals.

As the episode comes to a close, Izumiko must confront her fears and learn how to control her powers if she wants to stop Takayanagi and protect the people she cares about. She must also navigate her complicated relationship with Miyuki and figure out what it means for the future. The stage is set for an epic battle between good and evil, and Izumiko is at the center of it all.
