In Revolution season 1 episode 6, entitled "Sex and Drugs," the group continues their journey to Philadelphia in search of Danny. However, their path is obstructed when they encounter a group of armed militants who demand that they turn over their weapons. Miles recognizes the leader of the group, John, and realizes that they are former soldiers from his old unit.
In an effort to avoid a violent confrontation, Miles negotiates with John and agrees to a deal where he and his group will be allowed to pass safely if they complete a dangerous mission for John. The mission involves retrieving a package from a nearby town and bringing it back to John's compound.
As they make their way to the town, the group encounters a drug dealer who offers them a deal on some pills. Although most of the group declines, Charlie decides to take the offer and secretly buys the drugs. When they arrive at the town, they discover that it is overrun with dangerous gangs who are fighting for control of the drugs.
While attempting to retrieve the package, Miles and the group get caught up in a gunfight between the gangs. Charlie, who is high on the pills, impulsively jumps into the fray and ends up getting captured by one of the gangs.
Miles and the others are forced to track down and rescue Charlie, which they eventually do with the help of a young woman named Maggie who has been living in hiding in the town. They manage to retrieve the package and make their way back to John's compound, where they successfully complete their mission.
However, along the way, several members of the group confront Charlie about her drug use, leading to a heated argument. Meanwhile, Miles is forced to confront his past as a soldier when one of his former comrades reveals some disturbing information about their unit.
In the end, the group delivers the package to John and is allowed to continue on their journey. However, tensions between the members continue to simmer as they grapple with the consequences of their actions and the dangerous world they now inhabit.
