Ep 4. Summer of '47

In Roswell season 2 episode 4, titled "Summer of '47," viewers are transported back to a different time as they learn more about the history of the aliens living in Roswell. The episode opens with a flashback to Roswell in 1947, when a spaceship crash-landed in the desert and its alien occupants were taken into custody by the military. As this story unfolds, we see that the aliens were reviled and mistreated by their captors, who viewed them as little more than test subjects to experiment upon.

Against this backdrop, we learn more about the character of Michael, who has been struggling to understand his place in the world as a "hybrid" alien/human. In the present day, Michael is haunted by visions of a mysterious woman who he believes may hold the key to his true identity. As he delves deeper into his own past, however, he comes up against resistance from a surprising source: Max, his best friend and fellow alien.

Meanwhile, Liz and Maria embark upon a mission of their own as they seek to uncover the truth about a certain secret project that has been underway for years in Roswell. With the help of a local historian, they piece together a web of lies and deception that stretches all the way back to the summer of '47. As they dig deeper, they realize that their own lives could be in danger if they reveal what they've learned to the wrong people.

As the episode draws to a close, tensions rise to a fever pitch as Michael confronts Max about his past and Liz and Maria realize that they may have uncovered more than they bargained for. With so many secrets and lies swirling around Roswell, it's clear that the truth won't stay hidden forever.
