Shugo Chara! Season 1 Episode 18 Episode 18 - Happy, Embarrassing First Date!

Amu is extremely nervous about her first date with Tadase, unsure of what to wear and how to act. She seeks advice from her Guardian Characters, but they are all equally clueless about the matter. At school, Amu is surprised to find Tadase wearing a mascot costume, promoting the school's upcoming festival. Amu quickly adjusts her plans for the date, deciding they should spend the day at the festival.

As they navigate through the booths and attractions, Amu and Tadase both have their own awkward moments; Tadase accidentally gives the wrong answer during a quiz, while Amu struggles with a game of darts. Despite these mishaps, the two enjoy each other's company and share a cute moment on the Ferris wheel when Amu drops her phone and Tadase catches it.

However, the date takes an unexpected turn when Amu runs into Nikaidou, a teacher from her middle school who had a crush on her. Nikaidou insists on joining the couple for the rest of the day, causing tension and discomfort between Amu and Tadase. Nikaidou's interference becomes more blatant as the day progresses, culminating in a gift-giving competition where he tries to outdo Tadase's present for Amu.

As the trio watches the fireworks show that marks the end of the festival, Amu comes to a realization about her feelings. Meanwhile, Nikaidou reveals his true intentions and confronts Tadase with a challenge; whoever can find the Legendary Seiyo Treasure first will win Amu's heart.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger as the three characters set off to find the treasure, unsure of what challenges and dangers lie ahead.
