SKET Dance Season 1 Episode 12 E 12

Kanade, however, is into a different guy who's really good at yo-yos. So Yuugo enlists the help of the Sket-dan to teach him some tricks and hopefully win Kanade's heart.

As silly as the premise may sound, the episode is actually quite charming. It's a nice change of pace from the heavier arcs that came before it, and the Sket-dan's enthusiasm for yo-yos is contagious. There are some genuinely impressive yo-yo tricks on display here, and it's clear that the animators had fun choreographing them.

One thing that's particularly impressive about "E 12" is how it manages to tie in some of the show's recurring themes despite its seemingly silly premise. For example, Bossun delivers a monologue about how yo-yoing is like life – there are ups and downs, but you can always bounce back up. It's a cheesy sentiment, but it works within the context of the episode.

Additionally, the episode delves a bit into Kanade's character. We see that she's not just a one-dimensional love interest – she has her own interests and motivations. She's not just going to fall for whoever can do the coolest yo-yo trick (although that certainly helps).

Overall, "E 12" is a fun and heartwarming episode that shows off Sket Dance's ability to tackle both serious and silly subject matter. It's a nice break from the heavier storylines, and it's nice to see the Sket-dan helping out someone who doesn't necessarily have a life-or-death problem.
