The second season of the sword and sorcery anime, Slayers, picks up where the first left off, following the adventures of the overpowered sorceress Lina Inverse and her companions, Gourry Gabriev, Zelgadis Greywords, and Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun, as they journey through a dangerous world filled with magic and monsters.

In this first episode of season two, titled "The Sudden Pinch! The Terror of the Monstrous Zoamelgustar!," the gang finds themselves in the small town of Biaz, where they hope to rest and resupply before continuing their journey. However, their plans are quickly derailed when they discover that the town's water supply has been contaminated, and the culprit is none other than a powerful and terrifying monster known as a Zoamelgustar.

As the group searches for a way to defeat the monster and purify the town's water, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, including a bumbling local official, a young girl with a secret, and a mysterious stranger who seems to know more than he's letting on.

Meanwhile, Lina and Gourry continue to bicker and banter, showcasing their trademark chemistry and comedic timing, while Zelgadis and Amelia struggle with their own personal demons and motivations.
