In Slayers season 2, episode 2, titled "The Roguish Priest! His Name is Xellos!", we find our heroes, Lina and Gourry, making their way through the forest towards Saillune City. Along the way, they stumble upon a group of bandits attacking a carriage. Lina, being the reluctant hero she is, decides to intervene and help the carriage's passengers.

To her surprise, one of the passengers turns out to be a strange and mysterious man named Xellos, who claims to be a priest. Despite his holy title, Xellos has a mischievous and roguish personality, which immediately sets off warning bells in Lina's head. As the group continues on their journey, Xellos continually drops cryptic hints about his true motives, adding to the sense of unease that Lina feels.

Throughout the episode, we see glimpses of Xellos' incredible powers, which include the ability to manipulate time and space. As the group reaches the city, they discover that there is trouble brewing, as a powerful monster has been terrorizing the townspeople. Though Lina is initially hesitant to trust Xellos, it becomes clear that he might be the only one with the power to take down the monster and save the city.

As the battle with the monster commences, Xellos reveals his true form, shocking everyone with his demonic appearance. With his powers and Lina's quick thinking, they manage to best the creature and save the day. However, Xellos’ true motives remain a mystery, leaving both Lina and the audience with many questions.

Overall, this episode of Slayers is full of action, humor, and intrigue. Xellos adds an extra layer of complexity to the show's already rich mythology, and his presence sets the stage for plenty of excitement and mystery in the coming episodes. Fans of the series will no doubt be hooked by the end of this installment, eager to see what other tricks and surprises the show has in store.
