Orphen and the gang find themselves in the mysterious Uoar class, a magical academy hidden away in a dense forest. While trying to uncover the location of the Sword of Baltanders, Orphen and Cleao pose as students, while Majic enrolls in the school for real.
As they begin to investigate, they discover a strange secret lurking within the academy’s walls. It seems that the students are treated quite differently here than in other schools. Rather than being taught magic, they are instead encouraged to develop their innate powers through physical training exercises. This is apparently because the majority of Uoar’s students come from impoverished backgrounds, and cannot afford to purchase magical trinkets and artifacts like their privileged peers.
But as Orphen and company spend more time at Uoar, they begin to suspect that there is something sinister at work here. The teachers are strict and demanding, and the students are kept under close watch at all times. Despite their grueling training regimen, the students seem strangely vacant and emotionless, almost as if their spirits have been broken.
As they dig deeper, Orphen and the others discover that the school’s headmistress has been using the students’ powers for her own nefarious purposes. She has created a powerful artifact that can absorb and amplify magical energy, and she plans to use it to overthrow the ruling government and establish herself as the supreme ruler of the land.
With the help of some of the more rebellious students, Orphen and his friends hatch a plan to stop the headmistress once and for all. But they must act quickly or risk being caught and punished severely by the school’s authorities.
In the end, Orphen and his companions are able to thwart the headmistress’s plans and free the students from her grasp. They retrieve a vital clue to the location of the Sword of Baltanders before departing from the academy, grateful for the knowledge they have gained, but also aware of the dangers that lurk behind the seemingly innocent façade of magical education.
