Ep 9. Ghost from the Past

Orphen and the gang arrive in a new town called Kansai, and quickly run into trouble when they are ambushed by bandits. Luckily, a mysterious figure intervenes and helps them out. The figure turns out to be a woman named Stephanie, who used to be a member of Orphen's old group, the Bloody August.

Stephanie tells Orphen that she has been tracking him down for years, hoping to recruit him for another mission that involves saving a dear friend of hers who has been captured by the government. Orphen is hesitant to get involved, but Stephanie is very persuasive and insists that only he can help due to his expertise and connection to powerful magic.

As they head towards the government facility to rescue Stephanie's friend, Orphen begins to have flashbacks of his past with the Bloody August. He remembers the good times, but also the betrayal and the tragedy that led him to leave the group and become a solo adventurer. Stephanie notices Orphen's unease and tries to assure him that things will be different this time around.

Upon arriving at the facility, they encounter heavy resistance from armed guards. Orphen and Stephanie use their magic to fend off the guards and make their way deeper into the complex. They eventually reach the cell where Stephanie's friend is being held, but discover that she has been executed.

Stephanie is devastated by the news, and Orphen is left feeling guilty for not being able to save her. Suddenly, they are surrounded by more guards and it becomes clear that the government has been monitoring their every move. Orphen and Stephanie engage in a fierce battle with the guards, and eventually manage to escape with their lives.

As they flee the facility, Orphen is approached by a mysterious figure who claims to have information on the whereabouts of his old friend, Azalie. Orphen is skeptical, but Stephanie insists that they follow this new lead and find out the truth about what happened to Azalie.

The episode ends with Orphen and the gang setting out on a new adventure, determined to uncover the secrets of Azalie's disappearance and finally put the past to rest.
