Ep 12. Vortex

Odo, the shape-shifting constable of Deep Space Nine, is faced with a moral dilemma when a wanted criminal named Croden is brought to the station. Croden claims he knows the whereabouts of Odo's people, the Changelings, and offers to lead Odo on a dangerous journey through the Gamma Quadrant in exchange for his freedom.

Uncertain of Croden's true motives, Odo seeks the advice of Commander Sisko, who warns him of the risks involved. Despite the potential danger, Odo decides to trust Croden and embarks on the risky journey to find his people. Doctor Bashir and Chief O'Brien accompany Odo, as well as Croden's daughter Haneek, who joins the group to ensure her father's safety.

Meanwhile, back on Deep Space Nine, Quark takes advantage of the absence of management to establish a lucrative gambling ring. When Commander Sisko discovers the illegal operation, he sets out to put an end to it and ensure that justice is served.
