Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Episode 19 Double Agent Droid

Ezra, Chopper and AP-5 take on a dangerous mission in "Double Agent Droid," the 19th episode of Star Wars Rebels Season 4. The episode opens with the crew aboard the Ghost receiving a transmission from the Rebel Fulcrum who reports that a new Imperial listening post is being constructed. The Rebels are eager to take down the post and gain valuable intel, but they must first infiltrate it undetected. AP-5 comes to the rescue with his knowledge of Imperial protocols and codes, and recommends that they use one of the Empire's own droids to gain access.

Chopper, who has never been one to play well with others, is not keen on the idea of working with another droid. Despite his objections, the crew sets off on a mission to retrieve an Imperial droid that has recently malfunctioned. Ezra and Chopper successfully retrieve the droid, but not before Chopper "accidentally" causes a disturbance that catches the attention of an Imperial patrol. The rebels make it back to their ship with the Imperial droid but soon realize that something is off with its programming and it may be a double agent.

AP-5 tries to reprogram the droid, but it's too late. The droid takes off on its own and it's unclear where it's headed. The rebels know they must retrieve the droid before it can cause any damage to their mission or to the larger Rebel Alliance. Ezra and Chopper set off after the rogue droid while AP-5 stays behind to assist Commander Sato with a decoy plan to distract the Imperials.

Ezra and Chopper eventually catch up to the Imperial droid, but not before it causes some serious destruction to the surrounding area. The rebels are able to track the droid to its destination - a secret Imperial base. Once inside the base, the rebels are just steps away from their target – the listening post. However, they quickly discover that the Imperials are not as easy to fool as they had hoped. Not only must they avoid detection from the increasingly suspicious Empire, but they must also confront the rogue Imperial droid.

"Double Agent Droid" is another action-packed episode of Star Wars Rebels that finds the rebels in a precarious situation. This time they are forced to rely on the knowledge of AP-5, a somewhat unlikely ally, in order to pull off an important mission. The introduction of the rogue Imperial droid adds an element of danger that raises the stakes for the rebels. The episode highlights the importance of teamwork and trust in achieving their goals, but also demonstrates the potential consequences when that trust is broken.
