Ep 1. Northern Lights; Northern Fights

As a spinoff of the original series "Storage Wars", "Storage Wars: Northern Treasures" follows a group of savvy buyers on the hunt for hidden gems in storage lockers throughout Canada. However, not everything they find is valuable - a tub of dirty laundry and a broken TV are disappointments in the mix.

Meanwhile, Roy and his wife Bea head to their own locker acquisition, hoping for better luck. They're delighted to find several pieces of antique furniture in near-perfect condition, including a Victorian rocking chair and a set of nesting tables. Roy estimates these items could fetch a combined $1,500 at auction.

But the real surprise comes when they stumble upon a box of old movie posters. With Roy's extensive knowledge of film history, he recognizes some valuable titles and is able to estimate that the posters could bring in anywhere from $3,000 to $4,000. This find could be a game-changer for Roy and Bea's business.

Meanwhile, newbie Doug is feeling dejected after his unsuccessful bid. However, he's determined to get back in the game and decides to reach out to the winning bidder Ursula to see if she'd be interested in selling any of the items in her unit. Although Ursula is hesitant, she agrees to meet with Doug and ultimately sells him a box of miscellaneous items for $50.

After a successful day of hunting, all of the buyers head to the auction house to try and turn their finds into profits. Don Reinhart runs the show, and the bidding is intense. Ursula and Roy's rivalry is on full display as they compete for the same buyers, but in the end, all of the buyers are able to make sales and turn a profit.

Overall, "Northern Lights; Northern Fights" gives viewers a taste of the excitement and high-stakes drama that makes "Storage Wars" such a popular show.
