Meanwhile, Lynn Minmay finds herself in danger when she is ambushed by the Zentraedi spy. She is taken captive, and it seems that all hope is lost. However, she manages to use her singing talent to distract her captors and make her escape.
In the end, the crew of the Macross is able to retrieve the technology they were after, but not without significant losses. The episode ends with Hikaru, Misa, and Lynn all grappling with their emotions and trying to figure out where their relationships stand.
