In the fifth episode of Terror in Resonance, titled "Hide and Seek," the story starts to unfold in a more intense way. Lisa comes to realize that she has been mixed up in something much larger than she initially thought, as she discovers that the two boys, Nine and Twelve, are not just ordinary terrorists. Her suspicions are confirmed when she overhears a conversation between the two and realizes that their next target is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
Nine and Twelve start to carry out their plan of attacking the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building by planting bombs in several locations in the area. As they start to execute their plan, they come across a new character, Shibazaki, the head of the terrorism division who has recently been demoted for disobeying orders. Shibazaki is now working as an inspector in the local police department.
As Shibazaki starts to investigate the situation, he realizes that he may have found a clue that may help him connect the dots regarding the two boys and their terrorist actions. He discovers a connection between the bombings and an incident that happened six years ago. Through his investigation, Shibazaki realizes that Nine and Twelve are targeting the Tokyo Metropolitan Building as a symbol of the corrupt government system that has failed them.
Meanwhile, Nine and Twelve continue to execute their plans, trying to outsmart the authorities and avoid detection. However, they soon realize that they may have underestimated Shibazaki and his capabilities. Shibazaki is determined to uncover the truth and stop the boys from causing any more destruction.
The tension reaches an all-time high when Shibazaki confronts Nine and Twelve, but the boys are one step ahead and manage to escape. Shibazaki realizes he needs to act fast to prevent any further damage, so he puts together a team of experts to help him track down and stop the boys.
In the end, the episode leaves the viewers in a state of suspense as Shibazaki and the authorities close in on Nine and Twelve. The question remains, who will come out on top in this dangerous game of hide and seek?
