Ep 5. The Rise of the Republic

Texas Rising was a mini-series that aired on the History Channel in 2015. The show follows the story of the Texas Revolution and the rise of the Texas Rangers. The fifth episode of season one is titled "The Rise of the Republic."

Seguin ultimately decides to uphold his oath to Texas and becomes an important figure in the early days of the new republic.

Throughout the episode, we see the different factions coming together to form a government. The delegates argue over issues such as slavery, religion, and the powers of the new president. But ultimately they are able to find common ground and draft a constitution that reflects their shared values of liberty and justice.

The episode ends with the official signing of the Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836.
