In The Asterisk War season 1 episode 4, titled "E 4," we continue to follow Ayato Amagiri as he navigates his new life at Seidoukan Academy and trains to become a powerful fighter in order to uncover the truth about his sister's disappearance.

The episode opens with Ayato and his roommate Julis getting ready for their upcoming battle in the Phoenix Festa, a tournament in which pairs of students compete against each other using their special abilities known as "Genestella." Ayato is nervous but determined to win, while Julis remains confident that their teamwork will be enough to secure a victory.

The duo they're facing, Irene and Priscilla, are older students who have been through many battles and have much more experience. In order to turn the tide of the battle, Ayato decides to use one of his secret techniques. He uses his "Ser Veresta" weapon to create a powerful energy blast that knocks Irene and Priscilla off their feet. However, this move also drains Ayato's energy and leaves him vulnerable to attacks.

Despite the setback, Ayato and Julis manage to hold out against their opponents and eventually claim victory. After the battle, Ayato reflects on his performance and realizes that he still has much to learn in order to become a true Genestella.

Meanwhile, we also get a glimpse into the lives of some of the other students at Seidoukan Academy. In particular, we see a moment between Claudia and Kirin, two girls who seem to have a close but complicated relationship. It's hinted that there may be some hidden motives behind Claudia's interest in Kirin, and we're left wondering what her true intentions may be.

As the episode comes to a close, we also see Ayato's sister Haruka having a conversation with a mysterious figure who seems to have some connection to her disappearance. We don't learn much about what their conversation entails, but it's clear that Haruka is still searching for answers.

Overall, "E 4" is an action-packed episode that keeps the suspense high and the stakes even higher. We see Ayato and Julis face off against some tough opponents, and we're left wondering what other challenges they'll have to overcome as they continue to compete in the Phoenix Festa.
