In Triple D Nation season 1 episode 17, viewers are taken on a journey to Italy through the lens of delicious food. Host Guy Fieri revisits some of the best Italian restaurants featured on his iconic show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, showcasing the unique flavors and techniques that make Italian cuisine so beloved.

The episode begins with a trip to Tony's Baltimore Grill in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This family-run restaurant specializes in classic Italian-American fare, like cheese steaks and pizza, but with their own unique twist. Guy samples their famous shrimp scampi pizza and is blown away by the flavor combination. Next, he visits Linguine's Italian Restaurant in Marlton, New Jersey, where they're known for their homemade pasta dishes. Guy tries their stuffed rigatoni, which is a fan favorite, and can't get enough of the rich, creamy sauce.

Moving on to the Midwest, Guy heads to Kate's Kitchen in Indianapolis, Indiana. This cozy diner serves up some of the best breakfast dishes in town, including their famous breakfast lasagna. Guy is impressed with the hearty dish, which combines layers of lasagna noodles with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese. He also gets to sample their house-made limoncello, which has a refreshing citrus flavor.

In St. Louis, Missouri, Guy visits the Hill neighborhood, a historically Italian district that's home to many fantastic restaurants. He stops by Adriana's on the Hill, a family-owned eatery specializing in Sicilian cuisine. Guy tries their arancini, which are crispy fried rice balls stuffed with cheese and served with a spicy tomato sauce. He also gets to meet with the owner, who shares the story of how their restaurant has become a beloved institution in the community.

Finally, Guy heads to Felidia in New York City, one of the most highly regarded Italian restaurants in the country. Chef and owner Lidia Bastianich welcomes Guy into her kitchen, where he watches her prepare the signature dish: osso buco. Guy also gets to try some of their pasta dishes, which are made fresh in-house every day.

Throughout the episode, Guy showcases the passion and creativity of these chefs who are committed to serving up delicious Italian cuisine. Whether it's a classic dish with a modern twist or a family recipe passed down for generations, each restaurant has its own unique story to tell. By the end of the episode, viewers will be itching to try some of these mouthwatering dishes for themselves.
