Triple D Nation season 1 episode 31, titled "East Coast Eatin'," takes viewers on a journey through the best diners, drive-ins, and dives on the East Coast. Host Guy Fieri revisits some of his favorite eateries featured on his hit show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

The episode kicks off with Fieri stopping by the Half Day Cafe in Wyoming, Delaware. He chats with owner Dennis Forbes about the restaurant's signature dish, the crab cake sandwich. Forbes reveals his secret recipe for the crab cakes, which includes a blend of crab meat, red pepper, onion, and seasoning. Fieri takes a bite of the sandwich and proclaims it "killer!"

Next up, Fieri heads to the Swampscott Diner in Swampscott, Massachusetts. The diner has been in business for over 80 years and is known for their beef stew and cream pies. Fieri chats with owner Susan Groh about the diner's history and what makes their food so special. He samples the beef stew, which is made with tender chunks of beef, carrots, and potatoes in a rich gravy. Fieri also tries the coconut cream pie, which he describes as "unreal."

The third stop on the East Coast tour is the Ridge Street Kitchen in Newark, New Jersey. Chef Eric Levine showcases his creative twist on classic comfort food. Fieri samples the Rhode Island-style clam chowder, made with bacon and a touch of cream, as well as the chicken pot pie, which is topped with a flaky puff pastry. Levine also shares his recipe for macaroni and cheese, which includes bacon and truffle oil.

Fieri then heads south to Greensboro, North Carolina, to check out the Iron Hen Cafe. Owner Maggie Hennessey shows Fieri how to make her popular buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, which is made with homemade sausage and a roux-based gravy. Fieri also tries the fried chicken and waffles, which are served with a bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.

The last stop on the East Coast tour is the Blue Moon Cafe in Baltimore, Maryland. This funky diner is known for their breakfast dishes, specifically their Cap'n Crunch French toast. Owner Sarah Simington shares her recipe for the dish, which involves soaking the bread in a mixture of eggs, milk, and Cap'n Crunch cereal before frying it up and topping it with whipped cream and berries. Fieri also tries the Fells Point Fries, which are piled high with crab meat, Old Bay seasoning, and cheddar cheese.

Throughout the episode, Fieri not only indulges in some of the best food on the East Coast, but he also learns about the history behind each restaurant and what makes each dish unique. Triple D Nation: East Coast Eatin' is a showcase of the amazing cuisine and unforgettable experiences that can be found in some of the best diners, drive-ins, and dives on the East Coast.
