Ep 7. Snatch Back

In episode 7 of season 1 of Without A Trace, titled "Snatch Back," the team is called in to investigate the sudden disappearance of a young boy named Joey. Joey's mother had just picked him up from school when they were both approached by a man who claimed to be an old family friend. The man persuaded Joey's mother to let him take the boy out for ice cream, promising to bring him home in an hour. But Joey never returned.

The team quickly springs into action, interviewing Joey's mother and the school staff to try and determine if anyone saw anything suspicious. They also review surveillance footage near the school but come up empty-handed. The team begins to fear the worst as time ticks by with no leads.

However, a break in the case comes when Jack, Samantha, and Martin are driving around the area and spot Joey in the back seat of a car. They immediately give chase and manage to trap the vehicle in a dead-end alley. The team rushes to the car, opens the door, and rescues Joey from his kidnapper.

Once back at the office, Joey's parents are overjoyed to be reunited with their son. However, the team is still left with unanswered questions. Who was the kidnapper and what was their motive? The team goes back to the drawing board, reviewing every detail of the case in an effort to find answers.

As they sift through the evidence, the team discovers that the kidnapper was actually a former business associate of Joey's father, who was seeking revenge. The kidnap was a result of the father's shady business dealings and refusal to pay back a significant debt. The man thought holding Joey would force the father to pay up, but he never anticipated the team's successful rescue attempt.

Overall, "Snatch Back" is a thrilling episode filled with tense moments and a satisfying conclusion. Without A Trace continues to impress with its strong cast of characters and engaging storylines.
