In season 2 episode 9, titled Moving On, the MPU is called in to investigate the disappearance of a high school principal named Artie Crawford (played by guest star Mark Boone Junior). Artie is a well-liked and respected member of the community, but he has a somewhat troubled past. He has been clean and sober for several years, but his daughter died of a drug overdose a few years ago, which has left him and his wife devastated.

The MPU team begins their investigation by talking to Artie's wife and son, as well as his coworkers and students, trying to piece together the events leading up to his disappearance. They soon discover that Artie has been struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide, due in part to his daughter's death and his own guilt over not being able to save her.

As they dig deeper into Artie's past, the MPU team learns that he has been secretly seeing a therapist, Dr. Christine fellowes (played by guest star Annie Golden), who has been helping him deal with his depression and addiction issues. When Dr. Fellowes is interviewed by the team, she reveals that Artie had been making progress in his therapy sessions and had recently expressed a newfound desire to live life to the fullest.

Despite this new information, the MPU team struggles to find any leads on Artie's whereabouts until they receive a tip from a local bar owner who claims to have seen Artie drinking heavily and acting erratically the night he disappeared. With this new lead in hand, the team sets out to track down Artie and bring him home safely.

As the investigation progresses, the MPU team uncovers a web of lies, secrets, and betrayals that lead them to question everything they thought they knew about Artie and the people in his life. With time running out, they race against the clock to find Artie before it's too late.
