In Xamd Lost Memories season 1 episode 10, titled "Moving On," the story takes a major turn. The episode opens with Akiyuki along with Nakiami on board a prison ship full of captured humanform weapons, namely Haikizoku. These weapons have taken over the city, and the government is struggling to regain control. In an effort to stabilize the situation, the government has decided to create a new generation of Haikizoku in the hope of using them to neutralize the existing weapons.
Meanwhile, the crew of the postal airship Zanbani decides to intervene when they learn of the government's plan. They can't sit back and watch as more innocent lives are lost. But before they can take any action, they need to secure a fuel supply. During their search, they come across an abandoned ship, and upon investigation, they find an old acquaintance – Ryuzo. He is an engineer who has developed a new type of fuel that will improve the airship's speed. Ryuzo agrees to help them on a condition - that they take him with them. The crew, short on manpower, welcomes him aboard.
In the meantime, the situation on the prison ship is getting out of control. The Haikizoku in captivity have decided that they will no longer be treated as prisoners and rebel. They begin to attack their captors, killing many in the process. Akiyuki and Nakiami take this opportunity to free the Haikizoku, hoping to use them against the government's new weapons. When the going gets tough, Nakiami reveals a new ability – she can mind control the Haikizoku. This comes as a surprise to Akiyuki, who is still coming to terms with his own abilities.
The episode takes a darker turn when a secret about Ryuzo is revealed. He is a former member of the military - a lieutenant who led a squadron of Haikizoku during the war. But his squadron was wiped out, and he's been living with the guilt ever since. Akiyuki's father was also part of that squadron. Ryuzo reveals that he had a chance to save Akiyuki's father but didn't act. He's been trying to make amends ever since.
As Zanbani approaches the government facility where the new Haikizoku are being created, they come across an obstacle. The government has installed a powerful barrier around the facility, and it seems impossible to penetrate. But Ryuzo thinks he has a solution. He proposes that they use the old ship that they found earlier as a battering ram. With some modifications, it could penetrate the barrier, and they could enter the facility undetected.
As the crew anxiously waits for the plan to unfold, they all reflect on what brought them together. For some, it's a sense of adventure; for others, it's a desire to do what's right. Akiyuki, still grappling with his newfound powers, admits to feeling unsure about his place in the group. But the others encourage him, telling him that he's a part of their team, and together, they'll save the world.
Overall, the episode "Moving On" is filled with intense action sequences, breathtaking visuals, and emotional moments. It sets the stage for the final showdown between the rebels and the government, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats. The episode is a great addition to the Xamd Lost Memories series and will leave viewers eagerly waiting for the next installment.
